Sweetcorn is picked when the corn is immature and at its absolute sweetest. Deliciously tender, sweetcorn can be used in a variety of ways be that in soups, chowders, as a pizza topping or in a pasta bake. It can be eaten on the cob, one way to enjoy corn on the cob is to boil it, then roll the corn in a spice rob before lightly charring it on a barbecue, this creates a deliciously sweet and spicy summertime treat. We stock vacuum packs sweetcorn throughout the year, usually imported from Spain. Loose sweetcorn is not as readily available but expect us to stock English sweetcorn from September to October or potentially slightly earlier.
