Potato Desiree
Red skin and incredible versatility. Those are the two things that spring to mind when you think of the desiree potato.
Excellent regardless of whether they are roasted, mashed, boiled chipped or fried.
A particularly great way of cooking them is to make mash then use this as the topping to a shepherds pie, the sweet mash perfectly counteracting the richer filling of the pie.
