Chow Chow (Cherimoya)
The Chow Chow or Cherimoya is often referred to as a custard apple. Originating from the Caribbean the Chow Chow is notable for its unique appearance. The green outer skin looks scaly whilst the inner flesh is a creamy white with large black seeds. With its smooth texture which is similar to ice cream the Chow Chow is excellent for use in smoothies. Coupled with its flavour which is likened to a fruit medley including strawberries and pineapple makes the Chow Chow a wonderfully unique and tasty fruit.
