Taking their name from the sprouting beans they are grown from Beansprouts are a common sight in Asian cuisine.
Typically mung-sprouts, Beansprouts are incredibly versatile, finding uses in a variety of dishes including everything from stir-fries to spring rolls to Ramen noodle soup.
Flavour wise the Beansprout absorbs a lot of flavour from the ingredients around it. This coupled with their crunchy texture makes them delicious when accompanied by strong flavours like soy sauce or ginger.
