Tomato Plum
The plum tomato was originally bred to be used in sauces or to be packaged, containing less seeds than other tomatoes the plum tomato benefits from a higher solid content which equates to a firmer flesh.
Whilst amazing in sauces as a delicious alternative why not try removing the seeds from the tomato and stuffing them with a mixture of pesto and feta cheese before popping them under the grill until the cheese melts. Available all year round these versatile tomatoes can find their way into a spring salad, onto a barbecue or into a hearty and warming winter soup.
