Kanzi Apple
Kanzi means “hidden treasure” in Swahili and that is exactly what this lesser known apple is.
Originating from Continental Europe the Kanzi is a cross between the Gala and Braeburn apples. With an attractive and eye catching predominantly red skin the Kanzi is also bursting with flavour.
The Kanzi has a crisp texture and a mild apple flavour, where it is unusual however is that it is notably sharper in flavour than other apples. This sharpness as opposed to a more dominant sweetness gives the Kanzi a unique taste and makes for an interesting eating apple.
